We're John and Beth Moody.

I am a hobby wood worker. I got started woodworking building projects many years ago with my father. We were building small barn style buildings as storage/shop buildings. I found a real love for working with wood and building. I found great joy in seeing a project begin with a pile of wood and end with a building.

Several years ago I decided I wanted to get into furniture building. Before I could get started building furniture, I had to setup my shop. First were cabinets that had to be built. I found I enjoyed the cabinet building and it gave me a lot of confidence in producing the pieces of furniture that were to come. When you get a chance, check out the gallery to see some of the pieces I have produced.

My first furniture project was to build a bed. My wife helped me to pick out a project to build. A pencil post bed became the first piece of furniture. I had such an experience building the bed, I was hook and couldn’t stop. The bed was followed by a chest, a lingerie chest, and a night stand for our bedroom.

Several other shop cabinets have come along since the beginning. Much of what I have built so far has been for my home, shop, family and friends. Request  come for various pieces and I have done my best to produce a quality piece for the person requesting.

Each new piece has opened up another part of the woodworking. I am currently making cutting boards and custom pen and pencil sets to sell at First Friday here in Florence, AL.

We recently were featured in the Riverhill Home and Garden show and had the pleasure of having Vern Yip in our booth.

Our booth won  the Award of Merit at the May 2014 Arts Alive show in Florence, Ala.
